Surge Protectors
Surge protection is the most under-rated form of electrical protection with today's appliances and electronics, against today. We've been in the electrical industry for four generations. One of the most popular phrases among the mature generation is "they just don't make stuff like they used to", and they're right. However, I will challenge you now to the phrase, "people don't protect their electronics like they are supposed to..." You see, electronics, from the micro-chip that now runs your light bulb, all the way up to your car that can now drive for you, are supposed to be protected by surge protectors. Read their paperwork and instructions. Surge protection is soooo important these days that they have actually changed the electrical code and now it is required on every home. When we perform and install one of our generator systems, we make this code upgrade to all our customers. We also offer additional surge protection for the generator.
Monitoring
Generator monitoring has come a long way in the last 10 years. We have improved technology and affordability, and the generators can now be monitored VIA: Wi-fi, bluetooth, and cellular connections. You can now control your generator from the palm of your hand, from almost anywhere in the world! Generac's Mobile Link system is top notch. It connects your generator to you, to Generac (if you wish), and even to your dealer's service department, which is recommended for best customer service!

Cold Weather Accessories
The Generac units were designed for some of the toughest environments. One of the harshest enviroments for a mechanical device is often the extreme cold. Generac has designed a line of cold weather accessories that can prevent some known issues with cold weather, and the known difficulty for engines to start in colder climates. After years of experience, we have specific recommendations for each model type, to keep you at maximum protection when you need it most! The block heater kit for liquid cooled turbo systems and the oil heater kit for air-cooled systems are just a few of our most popular accessories!

Smart/Power Management Modules and Devices
Generator installations are like snowflakes, they're all almost the same, but each one is often uniquely different. One of the most unique characteristics about your home vs. the neighbors home is going to be your power "load", as we call it. "Load" as in the load your home puts on the grid with it's unique contents, AKA how much power you draw. Hot tubs, electric dryers, geo-thermal vs. heat pump, pools, and wells, are all examples of unique individual loads. When we determine what size system you need, we take all those loads into consideration (it's required by code). If there are loads that can be "managed" to save you money, then we consider that in our design. If the total designed load adds up to more than what the generator can handle, we can often install a "load management" device, and then we can utilize a smaller generator, which results in small invoice for you at the end of the day. How they work is.... You connect them to your appliance electrical feed. They can "sense" when you're using too much power for your generator, and they will start to turn "less important" appliances "off" so you can use the appliances you set as your main priority. When you start to use less power, it will turn them back on, automatically! These are part of almost every well designed installation.
